Andrew Goodwin Explains that the conventions of a music video are:

1. Music videos demonstrate genre characteristics
(e.g. stage performance in metal video, dance routine for boy/girl band
2. There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals
(either illustrative, amplifying, contradicting)
3. There is a relationship between the music and visuals
4. The demands of the record label will include the need for lots of close ups of the artists and the artist may develop motifs which reoccur across their work (a visual style)
5. There is frequently reference to notion of looking (screens within screens, telescopes etc and particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body)
6. There is often intertextual reference (to films, tv programmes, other music videos etc)
There are many forms and conventions in the real media product. With my music video i have been influenced by many camera movements that matches with the music. Below is the video from Example 'Kickstarts'. I have been influenced by the feet movement that appear many times and the feets move within the music. Because the music is quite upbeat the feet movenment here is quite fast and goes with the actions. So in our chorus 'suddenly i see', I have placed many differemt faces changes within the music. Like the feet movements changes in the video of Example. We follow many of the forms and conventions through these videos that has influenced me.
Camera Moves in time with the music.....
This is the official Video From example- Kickstarts.
In Our video we used this idea from example of the different feets moving but instead in our video we used the idea of faces, because it goes with our song, of 'suddenly I see'. She sees loads of different faces.
So here is one part of the video from example where the feets where edited to match the beat, we also wanted to duplicate this in our video aswell. We did this mainly in our chorus. SO.................................

WE wanted to do it in our video. (Some pictures above from my video, which i created on photoshop to show the similarities). We edited the chorus with loads of different Faces to match with the beat like how 'Example' Did. These are also the obvious edits instead of continuous editing, as all the people were in different locations.
Above is some more snap shots i got from 'Examples video'.
And here Above is some parts from our video that is similar to 'examples' part.
And here is another part of their video.
And here is something i created all on photoshop to show how and where and how we used the idea from example.
Videos Use Singar as both narrator and character...
Below Is The Video that has influenced me in this way is the video from Katy Perry "its friday Night'...
My video 'Suddenly i see' Uses the singer 'Alex' as both narrator and character. In my video the singer is a character because she see the world she is acting like she is visiting many places in london, sight seeing and etc. She is also the narrator because she is lipsinging the song as well as acting. The video that influenced me Katy Perry- Friday night. In this video katy perry is acting a character of being drunk, parting, teenager and etc. With that she is also lipsinging. This video has influenced me in the way of the character aswell as the narrator. This video by katy perry is a really good example to show it. And so we have done this in our video of the artist being like a tourist visiting the world. Also the song lyrics in my video matches with the charcater. And so does the video in kart Perry's one, when its 'Friday Night' and she is parting away, wearing fancy dress, acting like a typical teenager on Friday Night, acting silly and drunk etc.
Katy Perry in her video is a strong Female character who is heavily stylised leading viewers on a tour in the environment. However Katy Perry is stylised in the 80's american way which provides an style icon and interesting story line. Our video is contempary video made in 2011, modern, and filmed in london.
In most music video the artist once looks directly at the camera when they are singing, to involve the audience in their performance. This is because so that the audience knows who is promoting the video.
The video that influenced us and does this sort of stuff is Katy Perry. Below are some images.
So Here you can see the artist looks directly at the camera, while she is singing. She uses both narratortive and character. Also In her video Katy is playing a nerdy character (teenager), aswell as a part chic. This is because the character fits in with the word lyrics to show as well as tell. She is narrating (looking at the camera as well as acting a nerdy party Girl, Looking all silly and etc.

And below are some screen shots which shot this which shows the promotion of the artist. We used our character as a narrator and a character. This is because our song did not have story line so we needed loads of different shots to match the point of the song and to divide the characters.

So here are the screen shots of the arist narrating looking at the camera and singing. As you can see we was influenced the way katy perry did it in her video.

Below shows the character in the video. Ou video was about the charater in the video visits many places in london. So with that we got interesting camera shots of the london eye and etc, to show that she is visiting them places. Our video did not have a story so to that we didn't end it with a point. We got loads of interesting shots of places to show the character and the story behind it. Also we got the character to be siniging behind interesting buildings to show she is visting them places and etc. Aslo because the chorus is called 'Suddenly I see', in the chorus we got loads of different faces to show the 'suddenly i see' And we was influenced this by the video from black eye peas 'Where is the Love' the repeated Motif. (Continiued Below).

Repeated Motif.
Below are some images Screen shots from their video of their repeated visual Motif. So as you can see its the Question mark sign that is repeated throughout the video, to match with the lyrics. It is placed in different locations throughout the video.

Repeated Shots Of Artist.
In Our Video We did have some repeated shots of the artist, But Not loads of times. We used repeated shot becasue we wanted to keep it consist and to keep a flow. Also to remind and show the audience of who the artist is and to promote her properly. We used the repeated shot of our artist in the chorus of when she is play the guiter and the close up of her face. Below are the screen shots and examples of this. Below as you can see the screen shot i took was repated shot of the artist but used in different times of the video in different ways.
This is the first shot of the artist in the video.
And here is the same shot we used at the beginning but used it in the middles chorus with a fade with it.
Below is a video does influnced us and uses the repated shot aswell. Its a Video From 'Rihanna'- California King Bed. In this video shes uses It too the repeated shot of her self in the chorous. Analysing video's i think most video's are repeated shots of them self mainly in the chorus.
This is Rihanna's Video- California King bed.
Similar/Same shot shots!.
Slow Motion.
So In the creations of pop video, slow motion is one of them. One video that we looked at was Last Friday Night by Katy Perry, who uses slow motion in her video.
This Is the screen shot from our video of the slow motion we used.
The shot below is another example of a slow motion. This is a different type of slow motion. This slow motion of when the Artist is walking slow or still, and the people around her are really fast, but shes quite slow. We took inspiration from 'A-Team' by Ed Sheeran from this particular shot of where the character is sitting down on the floor and the background is moving in fast motion.
We liked this as it was a contrast to the usual slow motion.
