On Sunday we went to film at Covent Garden. On Saturday we couldn’t do any filming because I had to go church and Azeemah couldn’t come either. We all met up at 13:00 in Covent Garden. We waited there a while for Renee, then after like 15 minutes I suggested that we don’t waste anymore time and just film more people’s faces. We only got to film two people’s faces before Renee showed up. It turned out that she was there since 13:00 its just that she wasn’t receiving any pings so she didn’t know where we were had had bee wandering around searching.
Since Renee was there, we stopped filming people faces and moved on to filming her. We did takes for the base track in different locations, one where she was like standing over some eating area, and one where she siting on a fence by the cobbled floor. We also shot some idle footage such as tracking shots of her feet walking for extra footage. We also tried things like making her sit down next to one of those still people and are spray painted all over (like the ones that’s normally near the London eye). Today went well because Renee knew the song well and knew all the lyrics, and she also seemed more comfortable and less shy. Except for this one moment when we asked her to perform playing the guitar next to some man that we there playing her guitar also. She was shy because there were lots of people watching and she felt uncomfortable. She didn’t it in the end, but it was really short because she started to fill embarrassed again.
Also we had a few fans of our own. While we were filming the base tracks, one man started taking pictures of us. And later another man came right up to us; randomly took a picture of us with his iPhone and just walked away. :S It was weird.
Because everything went to well we ended up finishing at 15:00 something, rather than around 18:00 like we had planned.
