In class today we had to do a mock up digipack. I found it quiet hard and left the class with practically nothing on my paper, so I decided to come home and do some more research. I came across this:
I chose to blog about this digipack because compared to the other pop digipacks I analysed, it was very different, but still conventional. The graphics of the big chucky handwriting was carried throughout the digipack. Instead of a close up shot like the other digipacks, Lily Allen is shown sitting on a large L. There is use of simple mutual colours, and although the handwriting is extremely big, it is still easy to read and effective. This has inspired me to do a digipack which is still conventional yet out of the box, because through this it has portrayed what type of person Lily Allen is, which is fun, outgoing, a trend setter, makes her own rules and stands out of the box. This is reinforced through her music. So I plan on doing a digipack that clearly portrays who my artist is, yet it is out of the box.
