Review of a previous student’s music video

One previous student’s video that really stood out for me was the music video for the song by Nas – The World is Yours. It is ‘Hall of Fame’ Number 8. The audience for this video, I think, is young urban males, and it falls under the hip-hop genre. The narrative reflects key lyrics, but there is no real narrative.  This video contains many media language, such as, the use of fish eye lens, there’s a rapid pace of editing and location e.g. 11 different cuts in 15 seconds, blending different shots together, tracking that matches edits and locations that fitted with the lyrics  - graffiti, range of urban.
This video showed a lot of skill and technique, and inspired me to hope to include this in my music video when making it.
