Analysing 3 music videos.

I think that these three music videos have influenced/inspired our final planning decisions.

Example - Kickstarts

This video influenced our own because of the editing on beat. In the first minute of the video, there are so many different faces/shoes shown and they are cut on the beat. We will use this idea in our video for the chorus. This is because we want to show the many faces of the people in London: the diversity and how multicultural it is. The mise-en-scene in the video are locations inside houses, whereas in our video all our locations will be outside. For the first set of faces in Example's video, there are just men and then the next set are all women. In our video we will have everyone mixed up in any order. This music video also has other people who aren't Example lip-synching the words, which is something that we may also add in.

Ed Sheeran - A Team

This video gave us some inspiration to video outside in the evening time. One reason for this is because there are lots of people out and about at this time. We also were influenced to film in public places. We were inspired by the one editing aspect from this video, where the woman is leaning against the rail and the cars are going in fast motion around her and also when she's sitting on the ground and all the people are walking past her in fast motion as though the world isn't going to stop or slow down for anyone. We want to shoot a scene where our artist is lip synching and all the people around her are moving in fast motion.

Franz Ferdinand - Can't Stop Feeling

Our gourp reall really liked the diting of this video. It was clever and look really effective. The video flowed really well because it looked like one person was doing something to another even though they were they were filmed separately. This video just inspired us to have really good effective editing and keep all our shots simple.
