Today in class we learnt about psychological profiles. There are four.
Aspirers - people who have a need for status and status symbols, like the latest gadgets. They want to show people they have money.
Mainstreamers - people who need security, brands and want to fit in with the crowd. They make up 40% of the population.
Reformers - people who believe that the quality of life is much more important than the quality of possessions. They tend to be more educated and interested in self fulfilment.
Succeeders - people who have already achieved status and no longer desire status symbols. Must be in control of their lives. They have lot of money but don't show it off.
To find out the type of people that would be in our audience, we did a test and found out this:
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the centre of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
We decided that these profiles aren't really relevant anymore to todays society because the lines have blurred and everyone could be a bit of everything. From this we concluded that our typical audience member would be a bit of a mainstreamer and a bit of a reformer. |
