In Thursday’s lesson every group had to present their pitch, which included their plans and ideas.
We presented our pitch through use of power point presentation and all took turns in explaining and describing each slide. After we were done Dan give us some feedback on what was good and what needed improving.
His feedback was that overall our pitch was good J. However, there were some negatives. One, he said, was that when we were presenting the artists, we presented them in the same way we would present the audience. We told of the artists hobbies, interest, occupations etc. – which was wrong. What we needed to do what to give the artists brand and image, what type of style they would bring in their music, thus attracting a certain type of audience.
Another problem was the graffiti shots we used in our animatic that Dan picked up on. He said that the graffiti was out of context of the video and didn’t quite go with our ideas, and suggested that we just used those type of shots as back up shots to fill gaps, extra shots and supplementary shots to give the video more interest and diversity, but not to over use it and rely on it too much.
He also gave use an idea of have shots of crowds of people in out video, as that goes well with our context of outside and a lot of different people.
Lastly, He commented on he structure of you video. He said that was something we needed to work on, because right now it looked like it’s going to be random shots mixed up throughout the video and there seems to be no structure. So he advised that we work on a proper structure and storyboard.
You could have had a video of our pitch to watch because Dan was meant to record because we asked him but unfortunately he forgot. L But it’s not his fault because we should have remember too and reminded him.
