Visual Motif.

A visual motif is something that is repeated throughout the music video. Sometimes it isn't very obvious, and others times it, well, is. An example of this is Where is the love by Black Eyed Peas.

The visual motif that is seen several times during this video is the question mark.

For our video we decided on having a pair of glasses worn by every person in our video as the visual motif. Not the usual pair of glasses, the fashion ones in funky patterns. We firgured this would be good because it would kind of link to the lyrics in our song. But then the other day, Dan gave us a better idea. He told us that if you make people were glasses, it would imply that they couldn't see before(which we didn't think about before) and that connotation would contradict our lyrics and it would link in better if instead we had shots of peoples eyes. Just their eyes. After thinking about it for a while (maybe 5 seconds, 10 tops) we decided it would be better and Dan showed us an example by videoing Saima's eyes. It definately made much more sense. So now our visual motif is eyes. I can't wait to film.
